REPURPOSE
DREAMINGLESS MAGAZINE - ISSUE 39
Denim jacket designer Elina Priha embraces the thought of wearing, loving, caring and mending - turning the old into new. The set for this editorial is made up of fabrics which were no longer wanted, like bed sheets, blankets and throws. They were re-vamped and textured with pink dyes and paint. Upcycling helps reduce CO2 emissions by using old materials instead of new. For every ton of discarded textiles used again, 20 tons of CO2 is prevented from entering the atmosphere.
